Cucumber Raita

Indian Curry Condiments (A Seat at the Table)

I love Indian food!  When visiting Sister we made an epic Indian feast.  It was a lot of fun making all sorts of dishes together and that included this cucumber raita.  Raita is a creamy, cold yogurt sauce that helps balance out the spicy Indian food.  Sister took an Indian cooking class last year, so we used the recipes she learned in the class including dahl and roasted cauliflower.  Raita was just one part of the condiments Indian Curry Condiments (A Seat at the Table)we used, we also had a mango-apple chutney, shredded coconut, raisins, sliced radishes, and cilantro.  It was fantastic and will definitely have to be replicated!  In the meantime, try this raita with some of my previous Indian dishes.
